Zoology volunteer opportunity at National Museums Liverpool

National Museums Liverpool is looking for a zoology volunteer to help increase access to the vertebrate zoology collection through developing the online collection.

The volunteer will be based at World Museum, working 10am – 3pm on Wednesdays although some flexibility in the hours can be accommodated.

Activities will include:

  • Working through the vertebrate zoology collection, checking details on specimen labels and adding missing data to MIMSY records
  • Working through the vertebrate zoology collection, photographing/imaging all objects and labels and adding them to MIMSY
  • Researching literature that has included vertebrate zoology collection objects and adding them to MIMSY

Applicants are asked to submit a short statement detailing why they would like to volunteer and how they fulfil the requirements of the role.
