Pagoda Arts has a packed schedule of activity to engage older people with Chinese New Year celebrations over the weekend of 27 – 29 January.

The Chinatown projections, telling the story of Jingwei and the Ocean, will light up the Chinese Arch, Black-E and the Arch restaurant each night. This beautiful light show will last twelve minutes, looped for an hour; see it on Friday and Saturday from 7:30 – 8:30pm, and on Sunday from 5 – 6pm.

Other highlights include:

Chinese arts and crafts workshop, 25 Jan 1 – 3pm
Come along and make your own lantern ready for the celebrations. A great opportunity to meet new friends and learn about Chinese culture.

Pagoda Arts Open Day, 28 Jan 1 – 3pm
The opportunity to see the youth orchestra and dancing group rehearse for the celebrations, as well as see the venue being decorated for the New Year performance. A chance for older audiences to find out what is going on behind the scenes!

Pine Court Chinese New Year Celebration, 1 Feb 12 – 3pm
Chinese New Year celebration for Pine Court residents.
