The Choir with No Name runs choirs for people of all ages who have experienced homelessness and those who may be vulnerable and/or lonely due to mental health concerns, addiction, or social isolation.
Choir Manager Ema Quinn says: “We are a safe, positive and supportive environment in which to sing away our worries, have fun and flourish as individuals. We have a weekly rehearsal, followed by a hot meal, cooked by our amazing volunteers, and it’s all free! We sing uplifting well known songs and perform at events across Merseyside (although you don’t have to take part in the gigs if you don’t want to, you can just enjoy the weekly singing sessions.)
It doesn’t matter whether you have sung before, or if you sing like Pavarotti or Hilda Ogden, all are welcome. It’s all about the fun of singing together!
Come along and have a go at Bluecoat (in Liverpool city centre, behind Primark), School Lane, L1 3BX.
Doors open for a cuppa at 6:30pm, singing starts at 7pm – just ask for Ema!”
