In August 2016 the Workers’ Educational Association started a £1m programme to tackle unemployment in the Liverpool City Region – The ESF Community Grants Programme. The programme aims to enhance capacity within Liverpool City Region’s Voluntary and Community sector, helping residents meet their economic potential and contribute to social inclusion by moving participants closer to employment.

Applications to Round 1 and Round 2 of this programme have now closed, with grants being awarded to 39 local organisations. Round 3 is now open. Grants are available for a minimum of £5,000 and a maximum of £10,000.

Eligible organisations can apply for Round 3 Community Grant funding until 15th May 2017, and can access the application form here.
