Wheel Meet Again is back!
The team at Wheel Meet Again has sent over a short but very happy story for HOP members. The project, based at South Central Community Transport on Mill Street in Dingle, has been providing a range of activities for over-50s since 2008. At the end of last year they reached the end of their funding cycle and there was uncertainly about the future of the services which are so valuable to many older adults in the area.
We are delighted to share in there celebrations as Wheel Meet Again is back for 2020!
Of their 2020 relaunch, the team at Wheel Meet Again said:
“We had a brilliant launch day on 7 February 2020. Over 150 people attended the day including the Liverpool Echo, Jeremy Wolfson – Mayoral Lead for Older People-South, Mairead Bailie, Funding Officer Community Fund and many more.
“We had a lovely buffet provided by L&L’s Catering Services and Tracey’s Cakes. But most importantly it was amazing to see so many of our old members as well as many new faces who came along to support us on the day so a very big thank you to all of you.
“Our classes are now up and running and we have some exciting days out planned so please get in touch to see what we have going on. Our organisation South Central Community Transport, continues to offer the hire of mini buses at charitable rates.”
