Liverpool City Council is working in partnership with Sport England and NHS Liverpool Clinical Commissioning Group to launch a campaign and offer services and support to encourage those aged between 40 – 75 years living with health conditions (such as diabetes, depression and cancer) to become active. The campaign (known nationally as We Are Undefeatable) will launch on 1st September under the city’s physical activity brand, Fit For Me. The campaign offers the opportunity to help motivate people to improve their health and wellbeing, quality of life and encourage positive changes to their lifestyles.
Local insight highlights that a significant number of people in the city living with a health condition do not meet the physical activity guidelines. This campaign will share inspirational stories of local people with health conditions becoming active in ways that works for them. It will use radio, the Liverpool Echo and social media to share these stories and encourage people to be active. They’re also working with partners such as charities, community, faith and voluntary organisations plus NHS providers to help spread the message.
