Shared Reading and Sharing Memories over the phone

posted in: Homepage, News 0

The team at The Reader have created a weekly telephone service for people who are not able to join in with their online activities.

People can either sign up for Shared Reading over the phone or, if they’re local to The Reader’s home, the Mansion House at Calderstones Park, they can sign up for a weekly Memory Sharing session over the phone.

The team will partner each person with a friendly volunteer who will ring them once a week for about half an hour to share a poem and have a chat about it or to do some reminiscing with them about Liverpool local life.

Please see the following attachment which is the flyer for anyone who might be interested and who is able to self-refer: Click here: Finding Connection – Shared Reading and Sharing Memories over the phone

If you or somebody you know would benefit from this, please get in touch. Call 0151 729 2250 between the hours of 10am and 4pm, Monday – Friday or email coronavirus@thereader.org.uk and quote Finding Connection.
