MDI An Infinite Line: Merseyside – Wirral Film Project

After having to postpone this project in October, MDI have now fixed the project week for Feb 8th – 12th 2016 and are looking for older adults who live in Wirral to take part.

An Infinite Line: Merseyside is a collaboration between The Light Cinema, Fevered Sleep and MDI aiming to get people out and about on the Merseyside coast line – taking notice of natural surroundings, connecting to the landscape and really seeing things up close. It is a great way to explore your coastline and share what you know with others.

Do you want to:

  •      Get out and about on the Wirral Coast?
  •      Find out more about your natural surroundings?
  •      See things you’ve never seen before?
  •      Meet new people?
  •      Be part of a film to be screened at The Light Cinema, New Brighton?

It’s open to everyone – all we ask is that you’re enthusiastic about being outside for a few hours on the beach in February and understand what this might mean in terms of the British weather!  We want to make the project as accessible as possible so please contact us if you have special requirements and we’ll do our best to help you take part.

The project is happening between Feb 8th and 12th in the New Brighton / Leasowe / West Kirby area – exact days, times and locations tbc.

Older Men Dancing

MDI are keen to set up a men’s dance class for over 50s – they have a few people they know will be joining the group and would like to hear from you if you’re interested.  Let them know what would make you come and join a dance class – what kind of music? Dance style, location… etc.

Other regular classes open to all ages are Tap, Pilates, Tai Chi, Yoga, Zumba and Afro Funk – you can find class times on their website here:

For more information on any of the classes and projects above, please contact Rachel Rogers at MDI on 0151 708 8810 or
