Local Solutions have shared their monthly activity sheet for January 2020.
They have a new six-part, self-care and compassion course called Finding Peace starting on Friday 7 February. It is a scientifically-proven mindfulness meditation techniques to help you find peace and take better care of yourself, relieving stress and restoring a sense of wellbeing. Easy, seated exercises with kindness and compassion, in a small and friendly group. There will be a free taster session on 17 January, 12.30 – 1.30pm.
Yoga and Relaxation is running as 6 weekly sessions that enhance your health and well-being. They take place every Tuesday at 1.30 – 2.30pm, starting back on the 7 January. The cost is £3 per session, they are pay as you go and the first session is free if you have never been before. The course covers all areas of Yoga: Pranayama yoga; breathing excersies; deep relaxation techniques and understanding the connection of physiology and psychology of stress and anxiety along with the techniques, dissolving and managing anxious feelings.
For January they will be running fun and friendly exercise sessions – Easy Zumba suitable for all abilities. These sessions are held every Wednesday 11am – 12pm.
