In My Liverpool Home project

posted in: News 0

At Kingswood Manor residential nursing home, residents and their families came together with the children from Springwood Heath Primary, Rudston Juniors and Christian Fellowship Schools to create the ‘In My Liverpool Home’ memory garden.

In the garden each flower tub has street name relevant to where residents lived and collectively they made up all of the Liverpool areas.

For the grand opening they were joined by children, teachers and heads of the schools. There were ponies dressed in Liverpool and Everton kits and a singer kept everyone entertained. Jeremy Wolfson, Mayor Lead for Older People, visited to cut the ribbon and announce the community garden officially open.

An enjoyable day was had by all in the ‘In my Liverpool Home’ memory garden.
