Celebrate the unique heritage of Liverpool’s waterfront at a range of free Heritage on the Dock events for all the family at National Museums Liverpool’s museums and galleries.

Music for the classes

Find out about the music surrounding the Titanic and the period in which she sailed, in this fun filled session.

Hands on with the: The Victorians
Museum of Liverpool

8 April, 11am-12.30pm

Get hands on with the past as you get the chance to look at, touch, and find out about objects from the Victorian period, a time when Liverpool and Britain changed dramatically! Find out exactly what ‘wet and solid nuisance’ was, what was in the drinking water, and exactly what went into a ‘privy’.

Be inspired by the Victorian Period and make your own crafty masterpiece to take home.  Make a thaumatrope, a popular Victorian optical toy that was the predecessor of modern films and animation.

Walkabout performances form our stern Victorian couple who will give a ‘tongue in cheek’ telling off to all you ‘sinners’ and encourage you to join their Temperance movement. They may even treat you to a song or two!

Hide a secret message, draw a secret picture, decorate and send to a loved one or family member. This traditional Victorian puzzle purse is a challenge for all to crack.

Come and join our Victorian governess for traditional tales to delight the young and young at heart.
