Fancy yourself as a comedian?

Apparently laughter is the best medicine or at least that’s what they say! If you want to test out the theory and fancy having a go at stand-up comedy then our Feeling Funny course might be just the thing for you ! Over six weekly sessions, professional stand-up comedian Sam Avery will teach you the skills to write and perform your own comedy routine which will then culminate in a final showcase performance in front of a live audience.

These unique comedy courses specifically for men have been designed to give you an opportunity to tackle the subject of mental health in a light hearted way and in the process will help to improve your mental wellbeing.

The workshops take start on Friday 22nd April, then every Friday until the 27th May, 1-3pm. The Final Performance is on Thursday 2nd June, 6-9pm at The FeelGood Factory, Netherton.

To be eligible for the course you must be Male, a resident of Sefton and be able to attend the majority of the 6 weekly sessions including  the final performance.

There are 15 places available per course so if you would like to find out more please contact: Helen Holden, Project Manager, The Comedy Trust.

Helen can be reached by email on or on 07593 042930 or 0151 702 5893
