Free Over 60s Activity Groups from South Liverpool Linking Lives

posted in: News 0
South Liverpool Linking Lives will be hosting free weekly activity groups for anyone aged over 60, starting from 4th July.

The charity, which launched in September 2017 as Mossley Hill Linking Lives, already provides a befriending service to help tackle the loneliness and isolation facing many older people, through weekly or fortnightly visits from Befriending volunteers.

It is hoped the weekly activity groups will open up further opportunities for friendship, socialising and meaningful activity for older people in Liverpool, in order to enhance their wellbeing and quality of life.

The activity groups are suitable for individuals of all abilities, including those with dementia.

The groups will take place every Wednesday 2-3.30pm at Mossley Hill Church, Rose Lane, Liverpool, L18 8DB, and will be as follows:

·         Arts and crafts group – every first Wednesday of the month

·         Board games afternoon – every second Wednesday of the month

·         Chair exercise class – every third Wednesday of the month

·         Social group – every fourth Wednesday of the month

Activities will be followed by refreshments and time for a chat.
