Free creative sessions for groups aged 55+

Are you interested in the creative arts? Do you have a hidden talent or want to rediscover an old passion?

The Liverpool Empire Creative Learning department is looking for groups of people aged 55+ to help develop a new community programme: Re-Emerging Talent.

Whether you’re a regular theatregoer or have never seen a show, they want your input into how to work with older adults so that they can make the most of all the Liverpool Empire Theatre has to offer – both in the community and at the venue.

In May and June, they are offering community groups of up to 30 people a FREE creative session, working alongside a professional practitioner who will come into your setting to inspire you. The session will include a selection of taster activities from performing arts and circus skills to creative writing and arts and crafts.

Following the creative session, they will ask for feedback on the arts activities you would like to see happening and discuss how Liverpool Empire can continue to work with you as they launch a new community arts programme. They would like to kindly ask that organisations provide tea and coffee for participants for this part of the session if possible.

If your group is interested in taking part in a free taster session, group leaders can contact Jennifer Chamberlain at as soon as possible as sessions are limited and likely to book up fast!
