Victoria Gallery and Museum has a programme full of activities and events suitable for an older audience.

Ceramics sessions: New Perspectives

Free drop-in pottery workshops giving you the chance to create their own piece that will be added to the exhibition by award-winning artist Phoebe Cummings.  There will be a series of workshops throughout the exhibition that will literally see it evolve and grow from your participation.

Lunchtime concert series

These free events offer everyone an opportunity to experience a wide range of music at the Victoria Gallery & Museum.  The Lunchtime concert series presents new compositions by staff, recent alumni and artists from around the world.

Crafternoon sessions  – adults only

Crafternoons offer the opportunity to develop new art and craft skills in a friendly and welcoming environment.  All sessions are led by an experienced artist, and the fee includes all the materials required for the activity, as well as free tea and coffee.

Wednesday 14th February, 2 – 4pm
Join artist Fay Buchanan for a line drawing masterclass inspired by the collections
£6 including all materials

Wednesday 14th March, 2 – 4pm
Learn to decorate cup cakes with culinary artist Kath Riley
£6 including all materials

Wednesday 11th April, 2 – 4pm
Learn to make a Waldorf-inspired felt springtime fairies with Rootberry Crafts
£6 including all materials
