Liverpool Dementia Action Alliance (LDAA) is holding an information day which is open to anyone interested in finding out more about what is going on in the city for people with dementia and their carers.
There will be stalls illustrating the activities and services provided by LDAA members as well as a series of presentations to give more detailed information.
This includes the launch of Liverpool’s joint city council and NHS dementia strategy.
They will be running Dementia Friends sessions throughout the day – they give basic awareness and information about dementia, dispel some of the myths about the condition and help you understand how you can respond to people with dementia in a helpful way.
A local solicitor will offer a free ‘quick check’ legal advice service (which you can book when you arrive). The whole event is free and they particularly want to encourage people with dementia and carers to take part.
The event is taking place in the LACE conference centre, Li from 10 am to 6pm – check out the programme and come along at a time to suit you.
