Liverpool City Council and LCVS have been working over the past week to develop the Covid Volunteers web portal and helpline and the support helpline.
Liverpool City Council has now established two telephone hotlines, to help our communities combat the coronavirus challenge.
The volunteer hotline is 0151 233 3068
Call this number to join the army of volunteers who can help people in their local communities – be it to deliver medication to those in self-isolation, or to check in with neighbours. This phone line can also be used to volunteer for Liverpool Foodbanks who require lots of volunteers across the city.
They are also calling out to organisations and businesses who want to help. Basically, if you are healthy and fit, and are not living with someone with symptoms of Covid-19, Liverpool needs you.
Please register now, so that they can reach out in the coming months.
This hotline will be manned from 8am to 6pm, seven days a week. You can also sign up to the volunteer programme online, via the Liverpool City Council website: sign up to the Liverpool Covid Volunteers programme here.
The support telephone number is 0151 233 3066
This second hotline has been established for anyone who feels they need support with basic tasks because they don’t have a support network of friends and family in place.
This hotline will be manned from 8am to 6pm, seven days a week. You can also request help online, via the Liverpool City Council website: click here to request support online.
