Liverpool Carers Centre would like to pass on the following message to HOP network members during the COVID-19 lockdown:
“We at Liverpool Carers Centre are still offering our service to carers in Liverpool.
“While we are not able to meet in our building we are all still working with carers from our own homes offering: carers’ assessments, reviews of support plans, and welfare calls to all of our carers.
“We have created a virtual carers centre where carers can still connect with each other through the online platforms Zoom and Facebook.
“We are now offering a virtual coffee and chat session once a week on a Wednesday afternoon where carers can provide their own cup of coffee and sit in the comfort of their homes and chat to other carers and staff members using zoom.
“We are able to continue to offer a calming craft chat session for our carers to enjoy making craft items at home. Project briefs are sent via email and then discussed in a calming craft chat session once a week on a Thursday morning via zoom.
“We have teamed up with other providers such as blue-sky singing a community choir and Yoga with Bec Rice who delivers our weekly yoga sessions in the Carers Centre to offer their online activities to our carers. Please see the timetable for more details of other activities to take part in.
“Our Life Enhancing Technology Service (LETS) is continuing to support carers to access and use technology. Our LETS team will be in contact by telephone to complete the referral process. Installation of technology may not take place until Government restrictions are lifted.
“To refer a carer to Liverpool Carers Centre for a carer assessment please email; email@example.com or telephone: 07934 205 609″
