Holding an event in October? Join the Age of Creativity Festival!

Are you planning an activity or event that involves arts, crafts, singing, music, books, dance, theatre, photography, etc for anyone aged over 50, anywhere in England during 1 – 14 October? Then you can get your event listed for free as part of the Age of Creativity Festival. They want to include as many creative opportunities for older people to participate in as audiences, participants, volunteers and artists as possible.

So, whether you are a group of four knitters in Newbury, a Dementia Friendly film club in Denton or running an Age Friendly exhibition in Exmouth, the festival aims to signpost people to activities of all shapes and sizes and cater for as many tastes as possible. Simply upload the details of your event online and sign up for festival updates for free.

You can also find out more about festival partners Family Arts Campaign and read about their new Age Friendly Standards, Age Friendly kitemark and Age Friendly Arts Awards. Also sign up to be part of the Age Friendly Museums Partnership if you work in the museums sector, to enjoy free support all year round.

The Age of Creativity Festival is part of a 2 year partnership project between Age UK and Age UK Oxfordshire and a wide range of partners, as a result of the Age UK Index of Wellbeing, funded by Baring Foundation and Esmee Fairbairn Foundation.
