Happy Older People (HOP) is a network which promotes age-friendly arts participation.

HOP brings together:

older people
cultural organisations
health and social care providers
housing associations
community groups
transport providers, and
volunteering organisations

We aim to create new partnerships and connections between organisations in the Liverpool City Region, making a difference to older people who may be isolated and lonely, who simply want to try something new or go somewhere different. We hope that HOP will be a catalyst for a more age-friendly arts offer across the city.

HOP holds quarterly network meetings, giving all of our members a chance to get together, meet new people, find out about each other’s work and share news and information.

To find out more you can read our Vision, Aims & Values document.

HOP Pot small grants funding may be available for local organisations who want to work together to break down barriers which prevent older people from taking part in the arts. For more information about HOP Pot funding click here.

It’s really easy to join the growing HOP network. If you want to be added to our membership list and receive meeting invitations and our regular newsletter, sign up here.

HOP is coordinated by Open Culture, and is funded by National Museums Liverpool.

HOP is supported by House of Memories.
