Thanks to support from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, the facility will provide a café, childcare, events space, community activities, offices, hot desks and grounds for everyone to enjoy.

The project is nearing completion and Lister Steps had hoped to open the doors in time for this year’s Heritage Open Days festival in September…but 2020 had other plans which has caused a few unexpected delays!

They hope to open the doors soon (Covid-permitting) but in the meantime have made this short film, featuring sneak peeks of The Old Library and some thoughts on why repairing & re-using our old buildings is so important.
