A very happy new year to you all! I hope you had a relaxing and enjoyable break and are looking forward to what 2017 has to offer.

HOP Pot Update

Since September 2016, there have been eight HOP Pot projects bubbling away nicely. Each project engages older audiences in Liverpool with arts, culture and digital technology in innovative and exciting ways.

I was delighted to attend a workshop led by Liverpool Girl Geeks at the Royal Court Theatre in December; the digitally focused workshop was hugely successful and I’m looking forward to reviewing the evaluation over the coming months.

The African Elders Association have also been busy with digital step counters and have been monitoring activity with many group members since early December. The feedback has been very positive and we will see who has achieved the most steps at the end of February!

This month, HOP Pot projects from PSS, FACT, Open Eye Gallery, Free Monkey Mind and InFocus will be completed and I’m excited to learn about the outcomes from each of them. It’s great to see so much engagement for older audiences occurring across the city, and long may this continue.
