A message from HOP

We have been thinking carefully about our role during this time and we are aware that organisations and groups are already taking their own precautions to ensure the health and safety of their participants, visitors, volunteers and staff.

Our thinking around Happy Older People in particular has been influenced by the vulnerability older age groups have to the virus and we have been in touch with our live HOP Pot projects about an extension to activity which cannot take place right now.

We are in discussion about how we can support HOP network members in the coming months while venues, groups and organisations may be closed. Social isolation is a real concern at this time and we will be exploring how we can continue to share activities and resources to keep people connected.

It would be great if you could continue to share content with us which we hope to share with network members – good news stories, online activities, and creative things to do at home.

Please send anything you would like to share, relevant to the Happy Older People network, in the usual way to emma.riley@liverpoolmuseums.org.uk

National Museums Liverpool venues

We also want to make you aware that in line with government recommendations, all National Museums Liverpool venues are temporarily closed to the public until further notice to support efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus).

The health and safety of our visitors, volunteers and staff is our top priority and, while we understand many will be disappointed by the closures, we do not wish to put people at unnecessary risk.

Thank you for your understanding and patience while we’re working through our next steps. Please bear with us, we will be in touch as soon as we can.
