Need to relax? Mindfulness could help

Inner peace is something we can all find through meditation and mindfulness. We can learn to live more harmonious lives, deal with our emotions better and improve our interactions with others.

Mindfulness is derived from Buddhism and involves a range of mental techniques for relaxing, being compassionate to oneself and looking at life in a peaceful way.

There are mindfulness sessions taking place every fortnight at Liverpool Wellbeing Centre, on Rodney Street. The next session is taking place on Sunday 14 April, 1- 3pm.

This informal group meets every fortnight to share guided meditation, learn tips for living more mindfully, enjoy relaxed discussion and listen to readings from helpful works. There is a break halfway through with free hot drinks available.

The session is held by Tom George, an experienced practitioner with a special interest in mental health.

The venue address is Liverpool Wellbeing Centre, 39 Rodney Street, Liverpool L1 9EN.

There is no religious affiliation and no obligation to attend regularly. The venue is not wheelchair accessible unfortunately.

Metered parking is available in Rodney St. Reasonably priced parking is available nearby at Liverpool Cathedral. There is free parking outside Toxteth Library a 10 minute walk away.
