The latest quarterly HOP network meeting took place on 18 June at the Palm House. Network members heard about the age-friendly activities and events taking place at the Palm House and we were joined by Farrell Curran, Head of Cultural Partnerships, Age UK Oxfordshire, who spoke about the Age of Creativity network and festival.
After a ‘people bingo’ networking activity and plenty of tea and cake, the meeting closed with a special age-friendly Bongo’s Bingo taster session especially for HOP members.
HOP membership is diverse and includes individual older people, arts and heritage organisations, health and social care professionals and providers, housing associations and community groups. The network meetings are a great opportunity to bring these different groups together to share knowledge and experiences, and to promote age-friendly activity and ways of working.
Our network members had a great time at the Palm House – a gorgeous place to hold our event. It’s been great to work with Bongo’s Bingo as part of their charity outreach activity, and they’re now signed up as a HOP network member. It definitely got people talking and interacting in a fun and informal way, with lots of new connections made. It was certainly a HOP network meeting to remember!
