Every Tuesday afternoon the Palm House hosts an event that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. They have a range of different events going on so whether you like to dance, listen to jazz, sing along to your favourite tunes or want an exercise class that is a bit more gentle, there’s something for everyone.
It’s also a great place to grab a cup of tea and some cake and just have a good old chit-chat.
9 July, 2 – 4pm
Dance helps reduce stress, anxiety and depression, dancing with others also helps us feel more connected and social. Dance classes can encourage social bonds and friendships which are key factors in improving our mood and mental health.
So bring your dancing shoes and step back into an age of elegance to have tea with a twist! There will be foxtrots, quicksteps, cha chas and many more… whether this will be your first experience or you are a Tea Dance regular, release those inhibitions and join Neil Allcock to dance away the afternoon in stunning surroundings. Make new friends or meet up with new ones in a lovely tea room atmosphere. Everyone is welcome, with or without partners, of all ages and abilities.
Sit and Dance followed by Active Bingo
