There is still time to get involved with the Age of Creativity Festival 2019! The festival will be happening throughout May, all across England, to celebrate older people taking part in creative and cultural activities. There are lots of ways to get involved.
Throughout May, there are over 230 events happening throughout England, all of which can be found on their website. One of these will be the Age of Creativity conference on 2 May at the Whitworth Art Gallery in Manchester. Despite the event currently being fully booked, if you would like to be on the waiting list, contact Tei Williams at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Another way to get involved is to sign up to take part in the Age of Creativity Challenge 2019. The festival have commissioned 64 million artists to deliver a creative challenge to inboxes every day in May. All the challenges are simple, free and require materials that can easily found around the home. They’ve been created in special workshops by Age UK members across the country. People might be asked to create a magical creature, find an interesting landmark in their neighbourhood or write a special five-line poem… then share them. No two challenges are the same!
