Halton-based social care charity, Community Integrated Care, and Rugby League giants, Widnes Vikings, are proud to work in partnership to deliver a free monthly dementia café – Chemics Café. The friendly support group offers people living with the condition and their loved ones a fun and informal place to:
- Share their experiences and make new friends
- Receive expert advice
- Enjoy inspirational and fun presentationsand activities
- Connect with their cherished memories of Widnes Vikings
Our free sessions take place on the first Wednesday of each month, from 11am-12.30pm at the Select Security Stadium in Widnes.
They are completely free, and everyone is welcome. Our sessions are led by Community Integrated Care’s specialist dementia team and the Widnes Vikings Foundation.
Local community groups and dementia experts take part too, offering valuable advice and information to attendees.
Every session is fun and different – from learning about ways to live better with dementia, to enjoying reminiscence sessions with the Vikings and hearing from inspiring local people who have amazing stories to tell. There really is something for everyone –even if you’re not a Rugby League fan!
The Chemics Café is great place to have fun, unwind and make friends with people who share your experiences.
You’re welcome to just pop by at any of our sessions – no booking necessary.
