Join us for the launch of Young at Art. A socially engaged arts project working with over 60s from across the Liverpool City Region.
11am – 2pm, Tuesday 11 September
FACT, 88 Wood Street, Liverpool, L1 4DQ
There will be drop in activities, games and workshops with FACT, National Museums Liverpool and Open Eye Gallery.
Happy Older People (HOP) will be sharing how our network connects older people to arts and cultural activity across the Liverpool City Region. Watch a short film about how older people have benefitted from participating in the network, and find out more about opportunities to get involved.
FACT’s Digital Ambassadors invite you to play Scouse Island, produced through workshops with artist Hwa Young Jung, who will be on hand to explain the rules and referee. A table top Role Playing Game, Scouse Island imagines Liverpool as a independent utopia. Each game lasts around 40 minutes.
Open Eye Gallery’s participants will be offering photographic portraits demonstrating their new found digital skills as part of their collaborative photography project with artist, Tony Mallon. There will be two 30 minute portrait sessions and your portrait will be emailed to you afterwards.
