FACT’s creative digital programme for older adults (60+) exploring art, history and technology. The group meets every Monday afternoon for workshops and activities with artists and technologists to develop their digital skills and encourage experimentation with new forms of creative technology.
Since November the group have worked with artist Alex Pearson and FACT’s learning team to create digital models of Liverpool. Inspired by the artwork Future Aleppo the group wanted to create a digital history of their favourite buildings in Liverpool and the stories that go with them. You can find out more about what the group did from their blog: https://learning.fact.co.uk/
At the moment, the group are preparing for the next exhibition at FACT, States of Play: Roleplay Reality, which opens on 22nd March. The group are researching the history of games and working with artist Hwa Young Jung to create a game of their own.
