Collective Encounters is running a series of seven coffee mornings specifically aimed at engaging older people who might not normally attend arts events.
The coffee mornings offer older people a lovely café experience, with popular songs from the 40s/50s and hot refreshments presented in beautiful vintage cups and saucers plus cake, conversation, and poetry readings performed by the Third Age Acting Company. The mornings also include creative tabletop activities designed to get people talking about what they like to do and where they like to go out.
As well as supporting older people, Collective Encounters are inviting organisations to come to one or more events and talk about your work. We can offer you a five-minute informal presentation – no presentations, projectors or slides – simply come along and tell people what you do.
If you’re unable to attend but would like to send some literature, please get in touch with Collective Encounters to organise taking materials along.
