As part of the Encountering the Unexpected project National Museums Liverpool is running Nature on your Doorstep, a special engagement project with older people using natural heritage collections.
The project is centred on the fantastic natural history collections housed by National Museums Liverpool and is an experiment that will test the potential of natural heritage collections to support successful ageing. Nature on your Doorstep aims to encourage older people to consider the natural environment around them, and to engage with it in new and unexpected ways.
National Museums Liverpool are running three themed sessions to help people consider the ways that they can engage with nature wherever they are.
The first session is taking place on 5 May at Sudley House and is free to attend. To find out more please visit the website.
