In November, I attended the House of Memories training program at the Museum of Liverpool. The training was presented predominately through forum theatre, where participants were invited to contribute to the outcome of the storyline. We were also guided around the Museum of Liverpool on a Memory Walk, experienced the power of Memory Boxes and used the award – winning House of Memories App.
I was also provided with a superb Resource Pack for people who are working with or caring for older people which is extremely useful.
The training day was both emotionally moving and inspiring and I would urge anyone working with older people to participate in dementia training.
