Artist and dancer Bisakha Sarker’s new multimedia art work reflects on the notion of a meaningful life, inspired by Dr Atul Gawande’s Reith Lecture series, and the works of the poet Tagore. Bisakha has worked closely with choreographer Marc Brew to develop dance which embraces how the body changes over time, alongside musician Chris Davies and videographer Ansuman Biswas. The work is exhibited at the Bluecoat from 17th October to 22nd November, and there is a special artist’s talk by Bisakha on 17th October.
We are also very proud to be collaborating with Bisakha on a special creative workshop event which will be held at the Bluecoat on 12th November to coincide with the exhibition. Further details will be announced nearer the time so please do look out for them on twitter (@HOPLiverpool) or on the blog.
