Lovely Liz and Laura at FACT have asked us to pass on some information about a new community project in North Liverpool:
Tagging Communities: New Digital Heritage Project with FACT, Call for participants and story tellers!
Are you an Older resident living in Anfield, Everton, Kirkdale or Vauxhall?! Then we would love to hear from you!
Tagging Communities is a new heritage community project about 6 neighbourhoods across Liverpool focusing on the last 150 years. The project will create a blog and an app which can be used by anyone living or visiting Liverpool presenting an alternative history told by the community residents.
As part of the the project we are currently working with a group of Older residents to explore the areas of Vauxhall and Kirkdale, whilst we also work with our regular Veterans group to discover more about the heritage of Anfield and Everton. The groups will co-create new film, photography and audio work alongside our artists, which can be access from this new mobile APP!
As local Older residents in the area, we would love to hear from you. Whether you are an Older resident interested in joining the group to create you own digital art and heritage work, or someone who is just interested to share stories and memories of your area we would love to get you involved.
We are also looking for new Veterans to join our group and specifically working with Blind Veterans UK this year to create audio work for cycling trails. For more information about this strand of the project just check out: http://www.fact.co.uk/projects/veterans-in-practice/bike-buddy.aspx
For more information please feel free to get in touch with Liz or Laura at FACT, on firstname.lastname@example.org / email@example.com or call on 0151 7070 4416
The project has already started and will be running until November 2015 when we will test the new APP out with the public!
This project has been supported by Heritage Lottery Fund and brought to you by FACT.
