Every now and again we update you on the progress of artist Scottee’s project in collaboration with his grandad, Liam Gallagher. Scottee is teaching Liam how to be an artist, and together they are tackling ageism in society and in the art world.
Liam’s first solo exhibition, No Need to Shout, opens in London next week, featuring over 40 original works about life, death and selfies. If you happen to be down South we strongly recommend dropping in. Further details are on the project website here.
Liam and Scottee have also launched a campaign to persuade Tate to raise the upper age limit for the Turner Prize from its current cut-off of 50. This will open up the prize to older emerging artists. Find out more about how you can support the campaign here.
